Description

The crystal lock system of the PS-X30 maintains the turntable at an accurate nominal speed under voltage or temperature variations or ageing, and shows excellent initial drift and load/speed characteristics.

The direct drive system with Sony's unique BSL motor results in extremely smooth torque and start-up characteristics.

The turntable also has a high precision speed monitoring system, utilising a magnetic pick-up head and pulse signal recorded onto a magnetic coating at the inner edge of the platter for electronic speed sensing.
